 Bernstein Management makes first commercial acquisition in Baltimore, Maryland
On May 11, 2007, Bernstein Management Corporation purchased 1100 Wicomico Street in Baltimore, Maryland. The building is an eight story industrial/flex building with about 350,000 rentable square feet located in the Carroll/Camden Industrial Park in the Baltimore Southwest submarket. The building has an attached three level parking garage structure together with an enclosed eight (8) dock loading facility.

 Bernstein Management joins JBG and Washington Property Company in
Children’s National Medical Center fundraising effort
Bernstein Management joined two other local real estate firms in hosting the 1st Annual Monte Carlo Night on March 3, 2007.
The event raised almost $400,000 to support the capital improvement program to modernize the aging surgical facilities and to
further Children’s Hospital’s mission of delivering first class care to sick children in the DC area regardless of their ability
to pay for it. Over 100 companies supported the effort by purchasing sponsorships ranging from $ 2,500 to $ 15,000. The event
took place at the Ritz Carlton and the activities included a silent and live auction, casino games, and a performance by the
band Little Feat.

Bernstein Management’s annual Community Service Day
On November 9, 2007, BMC teamed up for our 2nd annual volunteer day with City Year to help beautify the Central Union Mission, a homeless and recovery center in Washington, DC. City Year is a community service organization which operates in fifteen cities across the country and provides critically needed services to some of DC's most underserved youth.
Due to the huge staff turnout, we were able to complete numerous murals, much needed plumbing and electrical work and air conditioning repairs. Everyone had a great time and as always, the Bernstein staff accomplished more than what was expected! |
