The Residences at King FarmBernstein Management's Newest Property in Rockville, MD

On June 2, 2008, an affiliate of Bernstein Management purchased The Residences at King Farm located in Rockville, MD. Just two short blocks from the Shady Grove metro station, the 275 apartments are located in an ideal setting for people to live, work, shop and have fun. The property, completed in 2004, offers luxury features such as 9’ or vaulted ceilings with crown molding, attached private garages, garden soaking tubs and fireplaces in select units. Prospective residents can choose from 1, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments or apartment town homes.

2008 Monte Carlo Night to benefit Children's Hospital generates $412,000 in proceeds.

2008 Monte Carlo Night to benefit Children's Hospital
Bernstein Management joined JBG and Washington Properties again in hosting the second annual Monte Carlo Night on March 8, 2008. Over 100 companies supported the effort by purchasing sponsorships. The event was a wild success, held at the Ritz Carlton with casino games, a silent auction and a live musical performance by Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes. The event generated over $412,000 to further Children's Hospital's mission of delivering first-class care to sick children in the DC area. The proceeds will support modernization of the aging surgical facilities.

BMC employees take Mayor Fenty's "Buff and Scrub" challenge
Bernstein Management participated in Mayor Fenty's "Buff and Scrub Initiative" in August 2007. This program was designed to help prepare every public school in the city for a safe, healthy and fresh start to the school year.

Over 50 BMC employees turned out for one and 1/2 weeks of painting, cleaning and putting in carpet at Kramer Middle School in Southeast DC. As usual, our most skilled workers ruled the day and we all had fun giving back to our community!

Bernstein Management announces web portal for residents
COMING SOON!  Bernstein Management is currently developing and testing a new online payment solution as part of a web portal to be released in the spring of 2008. Residential tenants will be able to review their account balances and make rent payments online. The online payment system will accept automatic bank draft, Visa and Discover Card at no additional cost. Please stay tuned for more information!

Bernstein Management makes second commercial acquisition in Baltimore, Maryland
On July 12, 2007, Bernstein Management purchased 300 West Lexington Street in Baltimore, Maryland. The development consists of 230,000 square feet and is currently home to numerous telecom companies, office tenants and retailers. Formerly the site of “Hutzler’s Palace” which housed Hutzler’s department store at the corner of Howard and Lexington Streets, the development is now used for office and retail space and is adjacent to Lexington Market and the Lexington Market metro stop.
